MESSAGE: Dwell (Acts 1:12-26, John 15:4-5)

KNOW: A lot of people are waiting for God instead of waiting with God.

APPLY: The power will swell as you actively dwell.

LIVE: Wait together with God.

DISCUSS:

  • What are your thoughts on the concept of dwelling with God?
  • Are there areas of life that you are actively waiting on God to work?
  • How can The Church improve how we wait with God together?

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I wait with You. Grant me patience and perseverance as I wait. Grant me an awareness of Your presence and power as I wait. Holy Spirit, I wait with You. Amen.

MOBILIZING THE MESSAGE: THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES

As we continue our sermon series journey through the book of Acts, we get to experience the power of the Holy Spirit on display in the lives of those who followed Jesus and we see how the message of Jesus was mobilized. We plan to divide the series and the book of Acts into subsections to better understand it, apply it, and live it out.

  • Momentum (The Holy Spirit); Acts 1:1 – Acts 2:41
  • Mechanism (The Church); Acts 2:42 – Acts 6:7
  • Movement (The Community); Acts 6:8 – Acts 9:43
  • Merging (Pre-Christian); Acts 10:1 – Acts 12:24
  • Ministry (Mission Field); Acts 12:25 – Acts 16:5
  • Mobilization (More Areas); Acts 16:6 – Acts 19:20
  • Mission (Future Vision); Acts 19:21 – Acts 28:31
